Scholar Tuition Centre is the first institution in Medan that is exclusively appointed to be the provider of a leading Foundation Studies program, UNSW Foundation Studies. The program is operated via a license agreement with UNSW College. Through Foundation Studies, students are prepared with solid academic knowledge, English language proficiency, and university-style learning skills to allow a smooth transition to university studies.

Study Stream

Commerce



There are two types of Commerce streams devised for students who intend to major in Commerce degree. Students who are interested in a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies should opt for the Commercial Actuarial Stream.

Commerce: for students intending to study Business, Accounting, Economics and Arts.

Commerce Actuarial: for students with higher mathematical ability and intending to study Actuarial Studies.

  • SMA 3: 6.5 (65%), Average Of 4 Subjects
  • SMA 2: 7.5 (75%), Average Of 4 Subjects

IGCSE / O LEVELS

  • GCE O Levels: Total 16, (A*=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1)
  • B Average Over 4 Relevant Subjects

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE

  • Middle Years Program: 22, over 4 Relevant subjects
  • Year 1 of Diploma: 20, over 5 Relevant subjects
  • Diploma/Certificate: 12, over 4 Relevant subjects

University Acceptance

IN AUSTRALIA

Students can progress to a degree at University of New South Wales, Sydney after the Foundation Studies program is completed and the grade point average (GPA) is met. The Foundation Studies program is also recognized by the prestigious Group of Eight (Go8) leading universities and other universities in Australia.


INTERNATIONALLY

UNSW Foundation Studies program is also recognized by many other countries around the world such as Malaysia, Singapore, Canada,
New Zealand, United Kingdom, and United States of America.

Some universities may accept the application on case-by-case basis that it may be subjected to quotas, additional entry requirements or specific subject requirement for certain degree.
